Once the pieces were ready, we packed them up with care and made the scenic drive to Matty and Lara’s home. There’s something so special about driving down winding country lanes, with the anticipation of delivering something so personal and meaningful. We arrived at their doorstep, where they greeted us with warm smiles—and a huge box of homemade treats!
Yes, you read that right—Matty himself had baked a box full of cookies, brownies, and cupcakes, all in gratitude for the work we’d done preserving their wedding memories. It was the most thoughtful and delicious gesture, and it truly made Sal’s day. She was so grateful for the gesture, feeling so appreciated and touched by their kindness.
However, Adam, who is lactose intolerant, was a little sad. While Sal dove into the box and tasted everything—declaring them absolutely delicious—Adam had to watch from the sidelines, his stomach protesting any dairy indulgence. But as always, he smiled through it, glad to have been part of such a heartwarming experience.
